Absorbed by music as a child, Kripa Ram Joshi chose a vocal theme for his Masters, being fascinated by “the deep study of the Indian classical form”.
Alongside his teaching of Nada Yoga, he frequently performs the harmonium – and (of course), vocals – aspiring to engender peace, harmony, and prosperity in society: “I want people to feel connected within themselves and to the supreme almighty”.
In 2017 Kripa Ram Joshi founded Devotion Music and in the same year launched its debut album, Prathma, a captivating fusion of classical Indian music, traditional folk Bhajans and Kirtans with contemporary timbres and riffs.
Kripa Ram describes this album as “an auspicious way of introducing Devotion Music by worshipping Ganesha, giving our heartfelt obeisance to him and requesting him to remove any hurdles that could get in the way of everything Devotion Music sets out to do”.
This he defines as “spreading knowledge, wisdom, harmony, and love to all, especially to those who have yet to experience the benefits of devotional music, so that they may transform their own and other's lives”.

This course is ideal for any individual or class who teaches Yoga and wants to introduce Mantra chanting in their curriculum along with regular Yoga practice. Chanting the proper mantras at the proper places it prepares the mind and body for yoga practice. Chanting increases immune functions, and lowers blood pressure. The sound of the mantra literally drowns out the negative voices in our heads. When the negative thoughts are suppressed, the mind has room for positive thoughts. It is an easy way to manage thoughts and achieve physical and mental welfare.
